Johanersburg City Parks and Zoo

SCOPE OF WORK:

Growthties proposed a simple but effective maintenance entrepreneurship project where we identified cooperatives that would be enrolled in the programme as beneficiaries and would be given contracts by JCPZ to maintain the parks and Zoo accross the City.

The cooperatives had to be identified, mentored and capacitated and this involved an initial selction criteria that ensured we identify capable and willing participants. Workshops were held where all relevant stakeholders were identified and requested to participate in order to gain full buy in of the project. Growthties further initiated engagements between JCPZ and a developmental grant funder who came onboard to assist with funding the cooperatives of all their critical requirements. Growthties further went on to execute the project in partnership with the JCPZ suppler development team. numerous stakeholder engagements and social facilitation went into this project to ensure its success.

Growthties secured grant funding for the selected participating cooperatives who all received Tata Bakkies, automated equipment and power tools required to perform their appointed duties of maintaining the JCPZ parks and ZOO.
