SCOPE OF WORK:

Growthties was appointed by TTO to provide fundraising, project management and reporting duties for a specific Moringa and sweet potato project. The project was a communal based project in Limpopo where the local chief partnered with TTO climate to utilise the communal land for the project development and implemented by the local community members themselves thereby creating jobs and business opportunities.

Growthties assisted in conceptualising an incubation model where cooperatives and SMMEs where grouped and formally registered to participate in the project. Growthties had to understand the intricates of dealing with a volatile community with members that would not always agree with each other and would have conflict in almost all aspects of the project. Social facilitation and Conflict management skills were required in this regard.

Growthties further went on to build a bankable business case and compile all necessary documentation that then raised funding of R27mil Rands to be drawn down quarterly over a 3-year period. The funds were for the establishment of the entire project including purchasing of shared infrastructure, inputs, stipends, pack houses, tractors etc.

GROWTHTIES PROJECT MANAGED AND FACILITATED THE ENTIRE PROCESS FROM CONCEPTUALISING THE INCUBATION MODEL, COLLATION AND COMPILATION OF AN INCUBATION APPLICATION FOR FUNDING, DEVELOPING A SELECTION CRITERIA FOR THE
SMMES AND COOPERATIVES, HELD WORKSHOPS TO GROUP LIKEMINDED HARDWORKING INDIVIDUALS AND FORMALISE THEM INTO ENTITIES, ASSISTED WITH CAPACITATION AND MENTORSHIP THROUGH WORKSHOPS, COLLECTED RELEVANT INFORMATION
FOR REPORTING INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT NUMBERS AND THE GENERAL IMPACT OF THE PROJECT.
